Maybe you’ve already begun seeing this as you create a timeline with your wedding planner, but on your wedding day, your time is booked to the minute. Oftentimes, due to venue limitations or scheduled timing, it’s rush rush rush for photos. But despite the hustled pace of a wedding, it’s so important to get documentation of the whole day so you can relive it again and again for forever!

Consider this new trend popping around that could ease some of the pressure off you. I’ve seen it labeled as a  “trash the dress” session. The basic premise is that, on the day of your wedding you will get lots of photos, but you might not have that extra time with your photographer to be creative and explore a space or venue fully. A “trash the dress” session is a post-wedding or post-honeymoon location shoot in your wedding dress, with your photographer. Think big! Think a sand dune, top of a mountain, a classy museum, a boat— the list is endless. Imagine having an additional set of Vogue-eque couple photos to sit alongside your wedding pictures on your coffee table.

In my head, get as many uses and snapshots of you and your partner in that dress so you can romanticize this moment and this new beginning for a lifetime.
