I’ve been to A LOT of weddings, and sometimes I see things that are awesome, and other times I see things that could’ve been done differently! From all of those experiences, I’ve decided to make a little list of factors to consider when booking a venue or hiring a wedding photographer!

Light.

I’m SURE you’ve got that cute aesthetic Pinterest board stacking up pins in the hundreds and thousands for your big day. Take a look at those images and consider the light. Is the ceremony/venue/reception outdoor or indoor, does light come in in one direction, or is it even throughout? Then consider, what time of day would the lighting be MOST similar to that dream image you have saved? Plan your ceremony 30 min-1 hour before the sun is at that ideal glow to give you time after the ceremony for family shots and last-minute photos before the light changes. If you can’t tell what the light is doing, share your Pinterest board with your photographer (hopefully me) and let’s discuss light!
